The highest standards from all farmer suppliers

The high standards set by the “Lakes” apply to our entire farmer egg producer supplier list. It is a standard matched only by a rare few specialist companies.

  • All eggs are therefore Free Range
  • British Retail Council Higher Level Approval as standard
  • No Food Safety Consultants are used, the entire team is in house and trained to standard in HACCP operation by University of Lancaster & University of Salford HACCP innovation centre and then food safety and HACCP systems are independently audited.
  • Our packing centres are state of the art and regularly updated to provide an egg quality of unrivalled excellence.
  • Our people are our strength so each employee has a 3 year training plan in place to guide and improve their skills. This includes our farmer producers and their staff.
  • Our company provides all this whilst maintaining a strong Ethical Trading Policy, independently audited by an external Social Accountability Audit.
